Refund policy

At Stories in Silk, we value your satisfaction and aim to provide a seamless shopping experience. If you need to return, exchange, or cancel an order, we’ve crafted this policy to make the process convenient and hassle-free. Please read the guidelines carefully, and don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team for any assistance.

Refunds

  • Condition for Refunds: Refunds will only be initiated once the returned product has been received by us in its original, saleable condition.
  • Processing: Refunds will be processed to the same account from which the purchase was made. Any associated transaction fees will be deducted.
  • For Credit/Debit card payments, refunds will be credited through our secure payment gateway to the original card/account.
  • For Demand Draft/Cheque transactions, the refund will be shipped to you via our courier service.
  • Out of Stock Items: In cases where the product you ordered is out of stock, you can either choose another product of the same value or request a full refund. If your order included multiple products, refunds will be issued for the out-of-stock items only.
  • Damaged Products: If your product was damaged during shipping, please notify our Customer Service team at the time of delivery. 

This helps us coordinate with our courier partners for an investigation. Once the damage is verified, we will offer a replacement (based on availability) or a refund. The refund will include postal charges in addition to the product value.

Store Credits

  • Color Variations: The color of the product may slightly differ due to screen resolutions or device displays. Such variations will not qualify for a refund. Instead, we offer store credits in such cases.
  • Unsatisfied with the Product: If the product doesn’t meet your expectations for any reason, you can return it within 7 days from the delivery date. The item must be in its original, saleable condition, and return shipping costs will be borne by you. Once the product is received and inspected, store credits will be issued.

Cancellations, Returns, and Exchanges

Cancellation Policy:

  • You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it to avail a full refund.
  • Payments made via PayPal or PayGlocal will attract a 5% cancellation charge, while payments made through other methods will incur a 3% cancellation fee.
  • Special Occasion Orders: Products purchased during special offers (such as Diwali, Aadi Sale, Valentine’s Day, etc.) are not eligible for cancellation due to limited period offers.
  • Once shipping has been initiated, cancellations are not possible. However, you can exchange the product for another or receive store credit.

Returns and Exchanges:

  • You may request a return or exchange within 7 days of receiving your order, provided the product is in its original, unused condition with tags intact.
  • Please note that return shipping costs will be borne by the customer. Exchanges are subject to the availability of the requested size or product. In case the requested product is unavailable, you may opt for a refund or store credit.
  • Non-Returnable Items: The following items are not eligible for return, exchange, or cancellation:
  • Products with the price tags removed.
  • Sarees where the blouse piece has been detached, cut, or stitched.
  • Orders with customized services (such as pico, fall stitching, tassel additions, or embroidery).
  • Items that have been used or damaged after delivery.
